Location:

• Sfax Based (Duties at offshore platform, terminal and remote sites) 

• The purpose of the mechanical technician role is to perform the day-to-day mechanical maintenance (preventive & corrective work) in a safe and effective manner and as per plan in accordance with the company’s health, safety and environmental policies towards an incident free operation. This position reports to the mechanical supervisor.

Principal Responsibilities :
 

• Implement the day-to-day mechanical activities in accordance with the maintenance plan
• Conduct safety critical element maintenance activities, close on time and report non-compliance to the mechanical supervisor.
• Ensure all the activities under his responsibility are carried out safely in compliance with company PTW and HSSE procedures.
• Conduct the Maintenance of rotating equipments in a safe and efficient manner to achieve Asset availability set target.
• Conduct mechanical process isolation under permit to work system when and as required by the production team.
• Conduct recertification of pressure safety valves in accordance with company procedure.
• Conduct piping and pressure system flange management when and as required
• Carry out  daily feedback to GWMS system of all maintenance activities as per the plan and ensure adequate maintenance records are kept
• Co-ordinate and follow up equipment repairs with different stakeholder and vendors when required.
• Determine repair techniques appropriate to operational requirements and equipment integrity.

Qualifications, Job knowledge, skill and experience

Educational Qualifications & experience

• Baccalaureate completed + Successful minimum two years in the university with mechanical background (Senior technician, ISET or equivalent) plus minimum mechanical experience of 3 years in the oil & gas sector

• Proven experience in conducting the maintenance and certification of pressure safety valves
• Proven experience in the maintenance of rotating equipments (pumps-compressors coolers…)
• Proven experience in conducting flange management of static equipments.
• Problem solver
• Persuasive
• Results oriented, self-driven and self-motivated with the capability of working under stress.
• Team player capable of mentoring, sharing, and teaching other team members.
•  Computer skills (maintenance management system SAP or Maximo)

 English and French languages mastery – both spoken and written

Work Pattern 5/2
Job holder may be required to undertake visits to offshore Platform and remote sites interventions from time to time as required.
