Adecco is hiring for a renowned company in Oil & Gas:
REF:037/2022Shift Senior E&I Technician(Sfax based)
Mission:
- Organise & carry out the day-to-day E&I maintenance works (preventive & corrective) including preparation of work packs and resources mainly for offshore platform and remote sites.
- Support Production in the safe operation of the plant, including recovery from upsets and start-up.
- Maintenance and overhaul of all control & Instrument systems at company sites (terminal, Gabes, Platform, bensahloun and pipeline) related to process and rotating equipment.
- Assistance to vendor specialist in the maintenance of major equipment.
- Provide Coaching and support to the subordinate C&I technician and contractors.
Principal Responsibilities
- Organise the planned day-to-day C&I activities by preparing resources and complete work pack including PTW request, RA, MS and COSSH assessment.
- Maintain the instrument & control and protection systems in a safe and competent manner.
- As a Performing Authority, directly implement and supervise C&I activities under his responsibility.
- Ensure all the activities under his responsibility are carried out safely in full compliance with Company PTW and HSSE procedures.
- Support Production in plant recovery and start-up of equipment.
- Perform electrical isolation within his level of authorisation for maintenance jobs preparation.
- Provide technical support to the C&I team and operation stakeholder.
- Prepare the shutdown work pack and coordinate its proper execution.
- Perform fire and gas equipment calibration and keep record
- Perform equipment’s Ex inspection (visual, closed and detailed).
- Perform and maintain records of process control loops.
- Prepare spare parts required for C&I related activities and highlight any shortage or discrepancy to his supervisor for remedial actions.
- Identify spare parts requirements and raise SDAR’s when needed for new insertion into stock. .
- Co-ordinate and follow up equipment repair in the local workshops.
- Propose equipment improvement to optimise maintenance and system reliability.
- Identify any or special tools required for the maintenance execution.
- Co-ordinate with Production Supervisor on PTW issuing and jobs priorities.
- Weekly plan preparation, and review ongoing work in the daily PDAR meeting
- Ensure the daily close out and feedback in GWMS system
- Assist with C&I technician competency development by performing regular on the job training and mentoring of mechanical technicians as instructed by the mechanichal Supervisor.

Educational Qualifications & experience
- Baccalaureate completed + Successful minimum two years in the university with instrumentation background (Instrumentation technician diploma).
- Minimum 10 year’s experience as C&I technician preferably in gas plants, refineries or chemical plant including working with contractors during (pre) commissioning and start-up.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and calibration of oil and gas instruments
- Proven Experience in the maintenance packages instrument and control systems (Turbines, compressors, chemical injection skids…)
Job Knowledge/Skill/Experience
- Gas Process knowledge.
- Certification in the inspection and maintenance of Ex equipements
- Thorough Knowledge of fire and gas system
- Thorough Knowledge of DCS and Triconex systems
- Fluent in English and French , written and spoken
Competencies Required
- Professionally competent for all aspects of plant C&I maintenance.
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with all levels of staff in the plant, and with contractors and suppliers, as required.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own time effectively.
- Ability to cultivate and work in a team environment.
- Ability to enhance relationships with customers and suppliers by understanding key internal and external requirements meeting operational needs and expectations
- Ability to understand and apply policies and procedures and to enhance documentation.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the maintenance cost structure and ability to identify areas of maintenance cost savings.
- Physical ability to work on offshore installations.
